Here’s more from Gavin Doyle about his love for Disneyland® Resort and his excitement about this partnership with Visit Anaheim…

When I made my first visit to Disneyland at age four, I couldn’t have known the impact that Disneyland would have on my life from then on. Each year, I looked forward to our annual visits from Northern California more and more.

At one point, I went from just loving the family time and all the fun attractions to appreciating the next layer of Disneyland. I discovered the history of this amazing place, appreciated the people who create the magic for guests every single day, and got really good at planning our family trips and looking for Disneyland discounts. Pretty quickly, I went from being a follower in our family group to being the designated person plotting out our park days.

At age 12, I started creating customized itineraries for other families visiting the theme parks and then soon after that started writing about Disney trip planning on the internet. That eventually turned into Mickey Visit, a destination planning and news site about Disney, Universal, and Southern California theme parks. We cover everything from the best walking distance hotels near Disneyland to the latest new foods offered at the parks. Though we have expanded to cover other destinations as well, my heart always remains at Disneyland and with Anaheim.

There is something so special about this theme park that Walt Disney created and the vibrant community of hotels, restaurants, and small businesses that surround the resort.

It’s an honor to kick off this partnership with Visit Anaheim as Disneyland® Resort continues its 70th Anniversary celebration. We have a lot of exciting content to share, so be sure to follow along on the Visit Anaheim social media channels and join their newsletter to stay up to date on everything coming your way.

To end this announcement, here are a few lightning round questions with Gavin. You can read more about Gavin Doyle here.

  1. Best ride? Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout!
  2. Best food? Can’t go wrong with a Disneyland Corn Dog. I like the spicy hot link corn dog from Corn Dog Castle in Disney California Adventure.
  3. Best restaurant? Craftsman Bar at Disney’s Grand Californian (poke bowl, bar nuts, and an ice water) or En Familia Restaurant in the Anaheim Packing District
  4. Best hidden spot? I love the walking path inside Disneyland® Park from the Harbor Galley. It’s a good place for quiet seating and to watch the logs crash down on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
  5. Best Disneyland news? At Mickey Visit, we cover the latest Disneyland news every single week and release our Mickey Visit Disneyland This Week update each Monday. The best recent Disneyland news was the reveal that we are getting a new lyric in “it’s a small world” to honor the Sherman Brothers who composed the song.
