Visit Anaheim has realigned its Meeting Sales Team to enhance satisfaction for clients and stakeholders. This strategic restructuring was executed under the direction of our innovative Chief Sales Officer, Ronnie Collins, who was recently promoted into the role.
Focused on Best-in-Class Service
Ronnie is focused on delivering best-in-class service to elevate the teams’ support of both partners and meeting planners. The objective is to drive the volume of meeting and event bookings throughout Anaheim, Garden Grove, and Dana Point.
The Meeting Sales team is led by James Robinson, Senior Director of Meeting Sales. James previously served as Visit Anaheim’s Southern Region Convention Sales Director and brings deep expertise and leadership to this newly structured team.
Key Promotions and Role Enhancements
As part of the realignment, Visit Anaheim has promoted several key team members. Megan Taguines has been promoted to Sales Manager for the Southwest region, and Aubrey Brown has been promoted to Sales Manager for the Northeast region. Both promotions reflect Visit Anaheim's commitment to developing talent from within to better serve our clients and partners.
Strengthening Local Presence for Better Service
The restructuring has also involved bringing in-market sales managers back to Anaheim to enhance collaboration and service. Isaac Gutierrez, who serves as Sales Manager for the Northwest region has relocated to Anaheim, ensuring the team is locally based. The only exception is Amity Wood, who now serves as the team's Business Development Manager, focusing on identifying new in-house business opportunities.
“I am happy to report that all of the existing remote players on the Meeting Sales Team will be staying with Visit Anaheim,” said Ronnie Collins.
Bryan Flores has joined the team in a newly created role as Executive Meetings Manager, responsible for 50 rooms on peak and below, further bolstering Visit Anaheim’s focus on small- to mid-sized meeting opportunities. Bernadette Churchill is another addition to the Meeting Sales team this year and oversees the Southeast region.
A ‘Valet’ Program for Enhanced Partner Support
In addition to strategic restructuring efforts, we are rolling out a ‘valet’ program designed to act as extensions of our partner hotel teams. Each sales manager will be assigned to a collection of our rate-paying hotels and develop individualized, custom sales strategies. This program aims to streamline services and provide unparalleled support for meeting planners and event organizers
Poised for Future Growth
“This is a proactive, strategic approach of what type of experience you’re trying to curate when someone’s coming to our destination to make a business decision on whether or not they want to bring their program to Anaheim versus the competition,” says Collins. With a strong, locally based team and strategic initiatives lined up, Visit Anaheim is poised to deliver exceptional support to clients and stakeholders.
