23rd Annual Elvis Festival: "The Spirit of Elvis"
Meet in Garden Grove for a special celebration of Elvis Gospel and the Classic Rock and Roll Hits! The sacredness of life and the enduring legacy of Elvis Presley will be honored during Elvis in Harmony: A Gospel & Classics Celebration on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024 at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana. This all-day tribute, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature live performances by Elvis tribute artists, gospel singers and choruses and special guests. Set in tranquil surroundings, the event will offer a day of reflection, music, and memories set against a backdrop that celebrates the preciousness of each day. The festivities will kick off at 11 a.m. with a variety of Elvis tribute artists performing classic hits on an outdoor stage, accompanied by the TCB Flash Band. From 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., Scot Bruce and his band will take audiences on a journey through Elvis’s early career. Bruce, an accomplished performer who has appeared in music videos with Faith Hill and Sheryl Crow, as well as on TV shows like Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful and was a mainstay entertainer at Disneyland for many years, will channel the spirit of The King alongside his band. The Gospel Show, which runs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. will present a soulful tribute to Elvis’s spiritual roots and his lifelong connection to his twin brother, Jesse, who died at birth. This performance, held in the all-marble Rose Window Chapel of the Historic Mausoleum, will feature the harmonious voices of The Orange County Threshold Choir, known for their a cappella lullaby-like songs performed at the bedsides of those in tender stages of life. For more information, email elvisgospelfest@yahoo.com or call 714-267-4657. Fairhaven Memorial Park is located at 1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, CA.
