Atlantis Play Center
Atlantis Play Center in Garden Grove is a wonderland for children that offers a colorful playground with animal sculptures. The park also features water flumes for splashing around, making it especially enjoyable on hot days. So bring some towels!
Baker Ranch Park
Baker Ranch Park in Lake Forest has a beautiful playground full of winding slides featuring beach sands and manicured lawns to break falls during exuberant play. The park is tucked into the foothills, which makes for inspiring scenery as a backdrop for watching your children play.
Also in Lake Forest is Serrano Creek Park, a wonderful city park with many natural features. With a creek running through and the colorful trees, this serene park has become a popular spot for photo opportunities in Orange County.
Bluebird Park
Bluebird Park in Laguna Beach is fondly called “Rocketship Park” by locals because the playground boasts a space shuttle-shaped slide. There are plenty of spacious, grassy areas for kids to play, along with tennis courts, a basketball court, and a picnic area.
Heritage Park
Heritage Park in Irvine is one of the grandest parks in Southern California. It features water flumes, attractive play areas, and a tranquil duck pond. This sprawling complex also offers three swimming pools and areas for baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.
Irvine Regional Park
Irvine Regional Park is nestled among a grove of heritage Oak and Sycamore trees, perfect for nature lovers of all ages. The foothills surrounding the park are home to a variety of wildlife. Santiago Creek bisects the park and a pond with an Instagram-worthy footbridge is located in the center of the park.
Also inside the park, visitors can find the Orange County Zoo.
Orange County Great Park
Orange County Great Park in Irvine is a public park located in the decommissioned Marine Corps Air Station El Toro. Focused on sports, agriculture, and the arts, the park offers a carousel, artist studios, playgrounds, athletic fields, and basketball courts, among much more.
Pavion Park
Pavion Park in Mission Viejo has a colorfully unique design scheme that incorporates flower shapes into the playground. A mini-maze keeps curious kids engaged with a challenging, interactive puzzle. You'll also find informative signage about the indigenous wildlife in the area. With its bright, floral aesthetic along with the educational opportunities, it’s arguably the best playground in Orange County.
TeWinkle Park
TeWinkle Park in Costa Mesa has a large open play area with recycled rubber padding the ground. It’s a great place to take kids to play and make new friends. Ponds here attract seabirds, making for a calming backdrop for parents.
