Boasting Mexican-Inspired Brunch, Tapas, Cocktails, and More, the Chef-Driven Menu at the  Family-Oriented Restaurant will be Offered Throughout May.

ANAHEIM, CA (May 1, 2024) – Calaca Mamas Cantina, the Día De Los Muertos-themed eatery in Anaheim, is celebrating two years in business with the launch of a special Birthday menu available throughout May. The limited-time menu blends the owners, sisters, and second-generation restaurateurs, Angela and Mariam El Haj’s love of Mexican heritage with local produce, organic flavors, and unique, playful presentations.

The chef-curated Birthday Menu offers new brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert, tapas, and spirited cocktails that blend the concept’s Mexican roots with the location’s Disneyland proximity. New libations include the ‘It’s Our Birthday 2 Margarita,’ which is served with a candle and collectible cocktail floater, and the spring-inspired ‘Sinking Sun,’ featuring Cazcabel coconut liqueur, pineapple cordial, orange juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and angostura bitters.  Standout brunch options include two original versions of Eggs Benedict, the ‘Chorizo Benny’ and the ‘Just Keep Swimmin’ Benny,’ made with gluten-free Brioche bread, mozzarella cheese, savory cream cheese, wild caught smoked salmon, poached eggs, vegan Mexican cream, chile de arbol, tomato, paprika, chives. New Tapas include ‘Tunitas,’ mini-tostadas on blue corn chips and topped with line-caught smoked tuna, guacamole, pickled onion, and habanero mousse, and the ‘Empanada Trip’ showcasing three savory empanada varieties. Rounding out the menu are four desserts including the ‘Cinnamazing Sweet Nachos,’ where cinnamon sugar chips are topped with chocolate sauce, housemade strawberry sauce, and vanilla ice cream. The full menu can be viewed HERE and on Calaca Mamas’ website.

"It’s been an incredible two years since opening our doors in Anaheim. We have been delighted by how the community has embraced our vision of sharing a culture we love through food," Angela El Haj shares. Mariam adds, "Our birthday menu is a celebration of flavor and showcases the fun that we have had in creating recipes to share with our guests over the past two years. We thank everyone for the support that they have shown us thus far and cheers a margarita to what is to come in the future!”
