Yummy Itadakimasu and HANAGI restaurant will host an exclusive tasting event showcasing Japanese cuisine made with Miyazaki’s finest local ingredients


HANAGI restaurant is collaborating with the Miyazaki Food Export Promotion Association, also known as “Yummy Itadakimasu,” for a global food event – Flavors of Kyushu – to celebrate Japanese food heritage at Anaheim’s Majestic Garden Hotel, on January 16. At Flavors of Kyushu, attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to taste cuisine made with the finest local ingredients imported from the island city of Miyazaki, Japan, in a culinary experience crafted for American palates.

This event marks the beginning of a broader effort by the newly established Yummy Itadakimasu, which is composed of seven premier food manufacturers, to introduce new Japanese food products to American consumers. The respected HANAGI restaurant along with its talented team of chefs is well-suited to create this one-of-a-kind culinary experience, thanks to their expertise in serving a diverse clientele within the hotel.

Highlighting the best of the city of Miyazaki, the HANAGI restaurant will be serving a series of exclusive dishes that include the association’s unique ingredients, blending special ingredients with American tastes to introduce a broader audience to the comestibles, as well as the culinary heritage of Miyazaki, and the incredible talents of the HANAGI team. At Flavors of Kyushu, attendees also have the chance to purchase the featured food products.

Offering the opportunity to experience and purchase Miyazaki’s premier ingredients, the event welcomes both industry buyers and food enthusiasts. Guests will leave with recipe inspiration and a deeper understanding of Japanese cuisine easily adaptable for American kitchens. In addition to showcasing Miyazaki’s food products, Flavors of Kyushu will foster an appreciation for Japanese culinary traditions in the United States.

Flavors of Kyushu will take place from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 16. The tasting experience will be limited to 100 attendees. Tickets will be available for $65. A maximum of 40 tickets will be offered for free to individuals pre-registered as a company in the service industry. All tickets include a Japanese Bento and sake/beer tasting.
