Howl-O-Ween Returns to Great Wolf Lodge with More Fa-boo-less Fun for the Whole Family

Seasonal celebration runs at all North American lodges in October

CHICAGO (Sept. 13, 2022) – Great Wolf Lodge is ready to kick off one of its famed seasonal celebrations, Howl-O-Ween. Beginning Oct. 1, 2022, families looking for a spooktacular celebration will find a wide variety of seasonal festivities across all 18 U.S. lodges, designed to get every member of the family into the Halloween spirit. Guests visiting Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls can also experience the celebration beginning October 14. This year’s event will include the family favorite Trick-Or-Treat Trail, a Halloween-themed version of Great Wolf Lodge’s Yoga Tails, Monster Bash Dancy Party, Howl-O-Ween trivia and crafts, and, new to the celebration at select lodges in 2022, floating pumpkin patches.

Families visiting the resort can expect to be transported into an autumn paradise from the moment they enter the Grand Lobby. The lodge is decked out with fall leaves, pumpkins, and other festive décor to celebrate the color-changing season. Select resorts will feature larger-than-life, not-so-spooky, Halloween creatures made entirely of balloons and, bringing the spirit of the season to its 84-degree water park, new floating pumpkin patches! Families visiting lodges in the Pocono Mountains, Pa.; Manteca, Calif.; Scottdale, Ariz.; and Colorado Springs, Colo. will get the opportunity to swim through a sea of floating pumpkins to find their favorite gourd and enjoy seasonal treats like cider and donuts while they decorate their pumpkins.

Great Wolf Lodge is also bringing back its Trick-Or-Treat Trail, where kids can don costumes and visit elaborately themed trick-or-treat stops throughout the resort and have the opportunity to take photos with their favorite Great Wolf Lodge characters. As families navigate the trail, they will be given swag and candy along the way. The trail commences in the grand lobby with a final chance for guests to grab some goodies, including a trick-or-treat stop that features non-food treats for those with allergies.

Other highlights of Howl-O-Ween include:

  • Howl-O-Ween Yoga Tails: With excitement brimming as Howl-O-Ween approaches, families can enjoy a themed version of Yoga Tails where the Great Wolf Pack talks about their favorite autumn activities.
  • Monster Bash Dance Party: Kids can get out their jitters before bedtime and enjoy Halloween songs that will make them move their funky bones.
  • Howl-O-Ween Arts & Crafts: Great Wolf Lodge is offering a collection of pre-packaged arts and crafts projects that families can complete on their own either in the comfort of their room or in the Grand Lobby. Fun projects include a bat hat, spider headband, ghoulish bracelets and keychains, Halloween coloring sheets, buttons, and Halloween masks.
  • Howl-O-Ween Mini-Events: Boo Bingo where five in a row is a bingo and yelling “boo” is the winning lingo. Howl-O-Ween Trivia will challenge families on their knowledge of Halloween myths, legends, lore, and traditions.

Howl-O-Ween is just one of four seasonal celebrations hosted at Great Wolf Lodge annually – others include Spring Breakout, Summer Camp-In and Snowland. Year after year, North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts looks for ways to enhance its programming to encourage guests to experience the changing seasons with their families at Great Wolf Lodge.
