Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center is excited to continue its ongoing series of summer camps and classes for Summer 2025.

We are thrilled to introduce Life Drawing Classes, a unique opportunity for artists of all skill levels to develop their techniques in gesture, proportion, anatomy, foreshortening, light, and shade. Led by experienced instructor Lee Smith, these engaging classes will provide a strong foundation for life drawing in a welcoming, hands-on environment. The classes begin June 7th, running Saturdays from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, with flexible enrollment options. Participants can choose between 5-week sessions to build foundational skills or a 10-week session for an in-depth exploration of life drawing. This class provides the perfect balance of structure and creativity, presenting a supportive environment to refine your drawing skills and grow as an artist.

In addition to our Life Drawing Classes, we’re expanding our summer offerings with STEAM Camp, a hands-on summer program designed for kids ages 9 – 14 that integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. We will host two exciting sessions of STEAM Camp: June 9 – June 13 and July 28 – August 1, with classes running Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Each day builds upon the last, ensuring kids stay engaged through amix of exploration, problem-solving, and artistic expression. Made possible with support from BASF, this camp is the perfect opportunity for young minds to create, experiment, and innovate through dynamic lessons and interactive projects.

Another enriching program for teens this summer at Muzeo is the Teen Art Intensive: Printmaking series. This four-part program, perfect for ages 13 – 17, will focus on traditional printmaking methods such as woodcut, etching, engraving, and lithography. Taking place on four Saturdays, June 21 & 28 and July 12 & 19, with each session running from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, this series is open to all skill levels—no experience required. Funded by the California Arts Council (CAC), students will be under the mentorship of renowned printmaker Abel Alejandre, while exploring printmaking techniques in a supportive space that nurtures artistic development. Participants will have the opportunity to create original artworks and leave the course with a base knowledge of printmaking techniques to build upon as they grow their artistic practice.
