Sports Anaheim Hosts Inaugural Celebrity Poker Tournament to Benefit the Young Warriors Foundation
Hall of Fame Los Angeles Rams Running Back Eric Dickerson, Retired Angels Baseball® pitcher Chuck Finley and Other Celebrity Athletes to Play in Tournament
WHAT: Sports Anaheim, a division of Visit Anaheim created to attract and promote amateur sporting events in Orange County, is hosting its first-ever celebrity poker tournament featuring Hall of Fame Los Angeles Rams Running Back Eric Dickerson. All event proceeds will be donated to the Young Warriors Foundation.
WHY: The first-ever Sports Anaheim poker tournament was created to provide a fun and competitive event for locals and sports figures to gather and showcase their skills for a great cause. The Young Warriors Foundation is a mentoring program for fatherless boys ages 10-18. The program’s mission is to develop positive and healthy male-to-male relationships and to support the participants' progression toward manhood through mentorship, sports, scholarships and more.
WHO: In attendance at the inaugural Sports Anaheim celebrity poker tournament will be:
- Hall of Fame Los Angeles Rams running back Eric Dickerson
- Retired Angels Baseball® pitcher Chuck Finley
- Olympian sprint kayaker Tamara Jenkins
