ANAHEIM, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2016) – Sports Anaheim, a division of Visit Anaheim, today announced a partnership with GET Travel, a full-service sports travel provider, to operate CCA Division II Basketball’s Annual Tip-Off Classic Tournament. A marquee preseason competition, the tournament will now permanently reside in Orange County, CA, starting with this year’s event which will be held at Santiago Canyon College Athletic Complex in East Orange on Nov. 4-6, 2016.

Launched in March 2016, Sports Anaheim’s mission is to strengthen and promote the destination’s sports culture by attracting diverse sporting events to Anaheim and Orange County. The CCA Tip-Off Classic will be the first owned and operated event by Sports Anaheim, with the group in charge of event organization, promotion and sponsorship opportunities. GET Travel, the previous owner of the CCA Tip-Off Classic Tournament, will still serve as the official travel provider offering transportation, hotel stays, theme park admission, and travel packages for fans attending the event.
