A new Anaheim Ducks season is underway, and there’s plenty happening both on and off the ice at Honda Center!
After reaching the second round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Ducks enter 2026–27 looking to build on their first postseason appearance since 2018. A young core of players returns for exciting hockey in Orange County, with Mikael Granlund taking over as captain this year.
Planning to catch an NHL game in Anaheim? Here’s what to know about the Ducks’ 2026–27 season.
Players to Watch This NHL Season
Emerging talent remains central to the Ducks’ plans. Anaheim opened the season with seven players aged 22 or younger—the youngest of any NHL team this year: Nikita Klepov, Roger McQueen, Beckett Sennecke, Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, Tristan Luneau and Pavel Mintyukov.
Cutter Gauthier (Winger) is coming off a breakout season in which he led Anaheim with 41 goals and 69 points, adding a team-leading 12 points during the playoffs. Swedish sensation Leo Carlsson (Center) recorded 67 points in 70 games, while Sennecke produced 60 points during his rookie campaign.
The Ducks have made it clear that their plan is to continue building around homegrown talent. Carlsson signed a five-year contract, Gauthier signed for six years, and 22-year-old Tristan Luneau (Defenseman) also agreed to a six-year extension.
Big Games to Mark on the 2026–2027 Calendar

Did you know the NHL schedule has expanded to 84 games this season, including 42 at Honda Center?
Anaheim will welcome every NHL team to Orange County at least once, with 19 home games falling on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
A few dates are particularly worth marking your calendar for:

- April 6 vs. Los Angeles Kings: The Ducks close their regular-season home schedule with another Freeway Faceoff.
There’s also plenty of hockey in Anaheim over the holidays. Fun fact: the Ducks host a 10-game homestand from December 22 through January 14, tying the longest homestand in franchise history.

The annual 12 Days of Ducksmas also returns in December.
Celebrating Orange County Community at Honda Center
Several games will recognize people making a difference throughout Southern California. The Ducks’ Heroes Series includes dedicated nights honoring the military, fire and rescue personnel, healthcare professionals and educators.
This season also introduced Joshua Conger as the Ducks’ 21st Duck, an annual honor recognizing a fan who exemplifies perseverance, courage, inspiration or outstanding contributions to the community.
Conger turned his own experiences with serious medical conditions into an effort to help other children. Through Joshua’s Joyful Giving, he and his family have distributed thousands of toys and comfort items to children throughout Southern California. Joshua joined the team on the ice during the October 4 home opener at Honda Center.
What’s New at Honda Center for 2026–2027?

Fans returning to Honda Center may notice plenty of changes as work continues on Honda Center Encore, a $1 billion arena expansion.
The multi-year project is bringing new dining and hospitality concepts, premium spaces, updated suites and other guest amenities. New spaces will continue to open in phases throughout the 2026–27 season.
Among the new additions is the Splitero Club, a premium space featuring private booths and loge seating, dining, a full bar and lounge and exclusive views of the ice.
The first phase is set to open in early 2027, so stay tuned for more updates on Anaheim’s exciting OCVIBE transformation.
Going to an Anaheim Ducks Game? Parking is Now Free!

One of the biggest changes this year is also one of the simplest: general parking is totally free with your game ticket at the Katella and Cerritos garages, both located steps from the arena.
That said, with construction continuing at Honda Center, some entrances, concessions, and other areas may temporarily move during the season. Arriving a little early and checking current Honda Center information before your game is always a good idea.
Watch the Anaheim Ducks at Home

Can’t make it to Honda Center? Watching at home is easier this season, too. 77 regular-season Ducks games are available to stream with an Amazon Prime membership at no additional charge! The Ducks will also air 65 games free over the air, with 61 on FOX Los Angeles+ (KCOP Channel 13) and four on FOX 11.
All 84 regular-season games can also be heard on Ducks Stream.
Catch the Ducks in Anaheim

Between a young roster coming off a playoff run and more than 20 promotional and theme nights, the 2026–27 season offers plenty of reasons to make a Ducks game part of any visit to Anaheim this fall and winter.
