Anaheim welcomes TV and TikTok royalty! Abbey Romeo, one of the breakout stars of Love on the Spectrum, is adventuring in our magical city. The widely popular dating show Love on the Spectrum follows young people with autism on their quest to find the Mickey to their Minnie, the Ariel (Abbey’s favorite!) to Prince Eric. Abbey appeared on two seasons of the reality show, finding boyfriend David while filming. Audiences stream their happily ever after on social media, plus watch her handmade hat business and music career flourish.
Abbey’s TikTok and social media presence show her overcoming obstacles and fears, all while making her dreams come true like releasing original songs and appearing in her first film. Hers is a tale for the storybooks, spreading awareness and inclusivity as she goes.
While in Anaheim, California, Abbey is touring a few of our favorite magical destinations. Find out more about Abbey’s adventures in Anaheim!
Disneyland Resort VIP Tour
Say “ChEARs!” like Abbey who enjoyed a VIP Tour at Disneyland® Resort. There’s nowhere more magical, especially when you have a private tour guide to help create a practically perfect day filled with behind-the scenes insight and personalized scheduling.
The Disneyland Resort VIP Tour also includes reserved viewing for entertainment offerings like parades and fireworks spectaculars. To make sure there’s time for all the fun, the tour also includes expedited access to attractions.
"Having a VIP tour guide at Disneyland was so amazing. Laurennicole was so helpful and nice and we got to ride more rides than I could have ever imagined!" - Abbey
Medieval Times
Castle hopping is one of our favorite things to do! Abbey also cheered on her favorite knight of the round at Medieval Times in nearby Buena Park. A four-course feast is served to visiting lords and ladies to be eaten with their hands. No forks in the pre-silverware era!
Castle guests are assigned a knight to champion for the evening and wear his colors on their crowns. The Grand Ceremonial Arena is the stage for a two-hour tournament, plus majestic displays of Spanish horses. A new show follows six knights as they joust and compete in hand-to-hand combat to become the defender of the realm. It’s easy to get swept up in the excitement and revelry.
"The Medieval Times was so much fun because it made me feel like I was living in a fairy tale- I even got crowned the Queen of Love and Beauty and it made my dreams come true." - Abbey
Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade
The swords of knights aren’t the only things that glimmer. Abbey also visited the beloved Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. For over a century, the Newport Beach harbor has glistened with yachts, boats, and other watercraft decked out for the holidays. The Christmas Boat Parade can be viewed shoreside, but the preferred way to experience the majesty of millions of holiday lights is to reserve a boat tour.
In addition to the boats, the bayfront homes and estates have decked their halls for the Ring of Lights. Over 1.5 million visitors make the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade part of their holiday fun each year.
"I loved The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade because I got to see so many lights and colors and it was absolutely stunning. There were 16 of us in our group! I sat next to David and it was very romantic." - Abbey
Abbey Romeo’s journeys in and around Anaheim highlight the magic of both the city and her inspiring story. From a VIP Disneyland tour to cheering on knights at Medieval Times, she’s making memories and spreading inclusivity along the way. Abbey’s adventures remind us that dreams really do come true, no matter the obstacles.
