Celebrate Happy with the 70th Anniversary of theDisneyland® Resort

“To all who come to this happy place, welcome!” With these words, Walt Disney welcomed the first guests to the Disneyland® Resort back in 1955.  For seven decades, Disneyland® has been creating magical memories for visitors of all ages. Join us in Anaheim as we commemorate the milestone anniversary of the Disneyland® Resort, kicking off May 16, 2025!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse have picked out all new outfits for the event. Put on your own ears and celebrate alongside them! And since you’re all ears, you’ll be delighted to know the Jonas Brothers will be singing the resort’s official theme song for the festivities.

From new attractions to fresh apparel, here’s what to expect during the 70th Anniversary Celebration.

Enchanting Entertainment

Combining nostalgia and brand-new magic, the entertainment line-up features the return of beloved experiences, plus all-new shows at both parks.
 

• “Paint the Night” Parade - Illuminating Main Street, U.S.A., the beloved parade returns with dazzling floats with favorite characters from Frozen, Cars, Monsters, Inc., and more!
• Wondrous Journeys - This nighttime spectacular takes to the skies to celebrate 100 years of Walt Disney’s storytelling with music, projections, and fireworks.
• Tapestry of Happiness - The facade of the charming “it’s a small world” attraction becomes the backdrop for a vibrant, projected mosaic featuring the art of Disney legend Mary Blair. 
• World of Color Happiness! - Paradise Bay welcomes visitors to enjoy a new nighttime spectacular, hosted by Joy from Inside Out. Experience the sounds and scenes of happiness from across Disney and Pixar’s expansive library of movies. 
• Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade - Over 30 Pixar characters take over the streets of Disney California Adventure_® Park in this upbeat parade.
• Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! - An all-new show debuts May 16th that will have your preschoolers on their feet dancing to the beat. 

Adventure-Filled Attractions 

The fun continues at the Happiest Place on Earth with sprinklings of pixie dust on favorite attractions.  

• Toy Story Midway Mania! - Be on the lookout for the toys in this high octane carnival game who are joining the fun of the 70th Anniversary Celebration!
• “it’s a small world” - Reopening April 25, 2025, “it’s a small world” has a few more reasons to smile with Pixar’s Coco characters Miquel and his alebrije, Dante, joining the Mexico section of the attraction.

Limited-Time Merch and Decor

It’s not a celebration without decorations! The parks will be decked with festive flair, making them the perfect backdrop for your photos.

• Before you even enter the parks, you’ll be greeted by a 50-foot statue with its design inspired by Sleeping Beauty’s castle and nods to the original lands.
• As you enter Disneyland_® Park, a smiling Mickey floral design and colorful buntings lining the walkways will greet you. 
• DCA’s Carthay Circle Restaurant will proudly wear the 70th celebration colors with an evening magical moment including projections.
• Bring home the colors, the flair, the “happy” of the celebration with limited-time merch including ears, apparel, and decor.
