President, Owner, Grand Legacy Hotel
Brandon Garrs' career in the hospitality industry spans 24 years, but since his father had owned the hotel since 1974, this industry is truly in his blood. He is the owner/operator of Grand Legacy Hotel- At The Park.
His experience in the hospitality industry includes learning the family business from the ground up. He started as a front office clerk and still remembers the first reservation he took on a slip from a pad of paper. He learned every position from entry level to becoming the General Manager in 2002, and taking over as owner, when his father, Earl Garr passed away in 2004. Since then, he has been committed to continuing his and his family's legacy.
For the last 5 years, he has also owned and operated The Fifth Restaurant/Bar on the rooftop of Grand Legacy Hotel. When he was almost finished with the $13m reconstruction project of the hotel, he had the idea of building Anaheim's first rooftop restaurant/bar on top of the final reconstructed building in the very front of the property, giving it the best view of Disneyland Resort and the nightly fireworks.
Mr. Garr is a first year board member of Visit Anaheim and has been active in the community for many years. He is proud to say that he has supported many charities throughout the years, including World Vision, Plan USA, Graceworks, Mercy Corps, and the one most dear to his heart, My Day Counts, which is local here in Anaheim.
He was born at Anaheim General Hospital and raised in Cypress and Orange, here in Orange County. He enjoys traveling, playing tennis, learning to surf, and living near the beach in Laguna. He has 3 wonderful children, 2 of which are learning how to operate the family business. His 3rd child is married and has 2 amazing children, Cooper, and most recently little Brooklyn. He loves being a Papa and spends as much time as possible being with them
