If you’re spending the Fourth of July in Anaheim, there’s no shortage of ways to do it well. Some celebrations lean classic and community-focused, others go big with fireworks and theme park energy, and a few are well worth the short drive if you want a full day by the water.

Here’s a 2026 roundup of the main Independence Day events happening in Anaheim and across Orange County!

A Classic Fourth in Anaheim Hills

Dog Show in 4th of July Parade and Festivals

Anaheim’s most beloved July event is the Anaheim Hills Fourth of July Celebration, which once again brings together the Firecracker 5K/10K, pancake breakfast, Yankee Doodle Dog Show, community parade, food, live music, and an evening fireworks show at Peralta Canyon Park.

Disneyland® Resort “Celebrates America”

Disney Fireworks, 70th Celebration, Wondrous Journeys, 70 Anniversary

If you want a Fourth of July with a little more grandeur, Disneyland® Resort is an easy pick. “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” is back at Disneyland® Park, bringing a patriotic fireworks spectacular set to music that fills the park with red, white, and blue. Plus, for more exploring and sightseeing, there’s nothing like a Downtown Disney® District Fourth of July.

Knott’s Berry Farm Goes Big on FireworksKnott's Summer Nighttime Fireworks Show

Just up the road in Buena Park, Knott’s Berry Farm is once again staging its 4th of July Fireworks. If you want a full theme park day before the nighttime show, this is one of the easier options to build into a summer itinerary, especially since Knott’s Summer Nights will be in full swing, which means all sorts of late night attractions and extravaganzas!

Get Reservations at Calaca Mamas Cantina

CALACA MAMAS CANTINA

For those looking to skip the crowds at Disneyland® Resort while still enjoying a front-row view of the show and a bite to eat, Calaca Mamas Cantina is an under the radar gem! The female-founded Mexican restaurant features a spacious outdoor patio overlooking the Disneyland® Resort fireworks, complete with firepits and unobstructed views, making it an ideal destination for Independence Day celebrations. On July 4, guests can enjoy views of Disneyland's “Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” spectacular, scheduled for 9:30 p.m., while savoring authentic Mexican cuisine and the best handcrafted margaritas in town - Churro on Ice cocktail, anyone? Menu highlights include quesabirria tacos, elote, ceviche, and more, to pair with margarita pitchers, ice cold cerveza, and spiked horchata.

Orange County Gets Patriotic

Surf City Marathon 2023 in Huntington Beach, CA

Huntington Beach Fourth of July Party Ideas

Just a few minutes from Downtown Anaheim, Huntington Beach is set to host one of the biggest Fourth of July celebrations in the county! Their 122nd annual parade starts at 10 a.m. on July 4, and the day also includes the Surf City Run, beach activities all day, and “Fireworks Over the Ocean” at 9 p.m.

Brea’s 46th Annual July 4th County Fair

For something a little more old school, Brea’s 46th Annual July 4th Country Fair at City Hall Park. The schedule includes a pancake breakfast (early birds are encouraged!), live local bands, grilled hot dogs and burgers, a cat and dog fair, classic cars, and more! If you like your Fourth a little more community-oriented, Brea’s always a good bet.

Costa Mesa’s Independence Day Community Celebration

This annual celebration at the OC Fairgrounds, held on July 3, boasts a low-key, picnic-style setup, making it easy to spread out with family, grab food, and settle in for fireworks without the full July 4th rush! It’s also a smart way to turn the holiday into a two-day celebration. Start with Costa Mesa on July 3, then keep the momentum going with parades, fireworks, or beachside festivities elsewhere in Orange County on the Fourth itself.

Coastal Fireworks in Dana Point and Laguna Beach

If your ideal Fourth is more about ocean views than parades, the coast has options. Laguna Beach is planning its usual 9 p.m. fireworks show from Monument Point at Heisler Park, while Dana Point will light up the harbor area with its annual evening fireworks display.

Tips for Your Fourth of July Adventure in Anaheim and the OC

Rooftop Bar Fireworks

To make the most of your Fourth, check each event’s official site for the latest schedule and details—and if fireworks are on your list, get there early to grab a good spot.

Here are a few quick tips to keep the day smooth and stress-free:

  • Plan for parking: Some lots fill up fast. Consider carpooling or using a rideshare if you’re heading to a popular event.
  • Bring sun protection: Pack sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water to stay cool during daytime festivities. Orange County is known to get pretty sunny this time of year.
  • Know the rules: Some Anaheim and OC parks have restrictions on coolers, chairs, or outside food—check before you go! If you’re bringing a furry friend, remember to always keep them on a leash.
  • Be firework-safe: Leave the big displays to the pros, and follow all posted safety guidelines if you’re in a fireworks zone.

Anaheim and Orange County have the ingredients for a sun-soaked, fireworks-filled Fourth of July to remember. See you here!
