Halloween Time at Disneyland® Resort
Of course, we can’t talk about October in Anaheim without a little Halloween. Halloween Time at Disneyland® Resort continues through October 31 with seasonal décor, entertainment, treats and Halloween-themed attractions across both parks.
Catch the Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular at Disneyland® Park, see Cars Land transformed into Radiator Screams, or experience Haunted Mansion Holiday. Over at Disney California Adventure® Park, Oogie Boogie Bash also continues on select nights, with immersive treat trails, Disney villains and the all-new Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake — A Haunted Mansion Street Party.

October brings another packed month of live music to Anaheim, with hip-hop, indie rock, punk, Latin music and plenty more hitting stages across the city.

Anaheim Fall Festival & Halloween Parade | October 24
One of Anaheim’s longest-running traditions returns to Downtown Anaheim on October 24!
The free Anaheim Fall Festival takes over Center Greens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with local artists, small businesses, live entertainment, costume contests, kids’ crafts and a scavenger hunt. The Anaheim Classic Car Show also takes place along Center Street Promenade before the festivities culminate with the annual Halloween Parade at 7 p.m.
Anaheim Ducks Hockey Returns to Honda Center
Hockey season is back! October marks the start of the 2026–27 NHL season, with the Anaheim Ducks returning to Honda Center for a new year on the ice.
The Ducks will face their home opener against the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers on October 4. The action continues throughout October with home matchups against the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks.
Pacific Airshow | October 2–4
Look up! The Pacific Airshow celebrates its 10th anniversary with three days of high-flying action over Huntington Beach.
This beachfront spectacle (just a quick drive from Anaheim) brings some of the world’s top aerial performers to the skies above the Pacific Ocean, complete with jets and aerobatic demonstrations. Make a day of it by grabbing a spot along the sand and enjoying one of Orange County’s biggest annual events.
Tustin Tiller Days | October 2–4
Celebrate a little bit of Orange County history at Tustin Tiller Days, a community tradition dating all the way back to 1957. Held at Columbus Tustin Park, the three-day festival celebrates Tustin’s agricultural roots with carnival rides, games, local food, and live entertainment. Don’t miss the annual Tiller Days Parade, which makes its way through Old Town Tustin on Saturday morning.
Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational | October 3–11
Watch artists turn the Laguna Beach coastline into their own outdoor studio during the annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational. Thirty invited artists will spend nine days painting landscapes throughout Laguna Beach, with opportunities for visitors to watch them work in real time. The week’s programming includes all sorts of public paint-outs, food and drink pop-ups, artist talks, workshops for kids, and culminates with the Art Festival on October 11.
Irvine Global Village Festival | October 10
This month, take a trip around the world without leaving Orange County at the Irvine Global Village Festival. The annual celebration returns to the Great Park on October 10 with international food, folk music and dance performances, and various hands-on cultural experiences representing communities from around the world. The family-friendly festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Silverado Country Fair & Folk Festival | October 10–11
Head into Silverado Canyon for two days of old-timey fun at the annual Silverado Country Fair & Folk Festival. The quirky community celebration embraces the canyon’s Old West roots with bluegrass music, homemade food, arts and crafts, children’s activities, Western costumes, and plenty of silly old-time games and contests. Just remember to dress to impress!
Newport Beach Film Festival | October 15–22
Movie lovers can catch more than 100 feature films and dozens of short film programs during the annual Newport Beach Film Festival. Running October 15–22, the festival brings screenings, premieres, special events, and filmmakers to venues throughout Newport Beach and neighboring communities. It’s one of Southern California’s major film festivals and a great excuse to catch something you probably won’t find at your neighborhood theatre.
Silverado Days | October 16–18
Fall fun continues in Buena Park with Silverado Days, a three-day festival at William Peak Park, which is expected to draw over 40,000 people. Along with carnival rides, games, food vendors and arts and crafts, the festival is known for its wonderfully offbeat contests. Think pie eating, hog calling, horseshoes, cornhole, and more. And if you’re looking for affordable things to do near Anaheim, admission and parking are totally free.

Looking for something a little spookier? Orange County has plenty of Halloween events happening throughout October, including major theme park haunts and family-friendly fall celebrations.
- Knott’s Scary Farm | October 1 to November 1: The legendary nighttime haunt at Knott’s Berry Farm returns with elaborate mazes, scare zones and live entertainment.
- The 17th Door Haunt Experience | September 26–November 2: One of Orange County’s most intense haunted attractions returns to Buena Park with immersive effects and interactive scares.
- Pumpkin Palooza at Discovery Cube | October 4 to 5, 11 to 12, 18 to 19 and 25 to 26: Santa Ana’s Discovery Cube mixes Halloween fun with spooky science, themed activities and a festive dance party.
- BOO at the Zoo | October 17, 18, 24 and 26: Santa Ana Zoo gets into the Halloween spirit with trick-or-treating, nighttime animal presentations, decorations and family activities.
