Highlights include the California International Boat Show (April 9–12), where visitors can explore luxury yachts, marine gear, and the latest boating technology; and FFXIV Fan Fest (April 24–25), a massive celebration for fans of the Final Fantasy online gaming community. These events are just a small glimpse of the many conventions, tournaments, and expos happening at the Anaheim Convention Center in April.

California is blooming this spring! Experience the vibrant beauty of wildflowers along the nearby trails and hills of Anaheim and Orange County. Located just a short drive away, Oak Nature Center in Anaheim blooms beautifully in the spring. Walk under a canopy of live oak trees and blooming flowers such as poppies, prickly pear cactus and other budding flora, making it the ultimate background for wonderful photos.

The Fullerton Arboretum is also a popular place to catch blooming flowers this spring. It is the largest botanical garden in Orange County, spanning approximately 26 acres. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll through more than 4,000 plants and trees.

 

Here’s a list of other trails around Anaheim and OC to experience the flower blooms:

  • Oak Canyon Nature Center: Shaded trails wind through oak woodland and coastal sage scrub, making this one of the nicest spots for a quiet spring walk in Anaheim. 
  • Yorba Regional Park: This expansive park has paved trails, lakes, and open green space that work well for an easy hike or longer afternoon stroll. 
  • Santiago Oaks Regional Park: This 1269-acre park offers more rugged terrain options, scenic ridgelines, and trails of all lengths, perfect for folks looking for a longer spring hike. 
  • Buck Gully Reserve, Newport Beach: Catch bushes of sunflowers.
  • O’Neill Regional Park, Trabuco Canyon: Get glimpses of the poppy, buttercups, and fiddlenecks
  • Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, Laguna Beach: Land on the best of both worlds, coastal canyons and flowers! Native flowers include wild hyacinths, morning glories, popcorn flowers and more.

If you're a hockey fan, check out The Rinks Anaheim Ice. This facility offers public skating, as well as classes and leagues for all ages and skill levels on their NHL and Olympic-sized surfaces.
