EXHIBITOR Magazine Readers Name Anaheim Convention Center Best Facility with More Than 1 Million Square Feet of Exhibit Space

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Dec. 16, 2020) – The Anaheim Convention Center, the largest exhibition facility on the West Coast, is named Best Convention Center (of more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space) by EXHIBITOR Magazine. This honor reflects Anaheim Convention Center’s ability to exceed in the following categories: facility & functionality, location & accommodations, service & execution, expansions & upgrades, and awards & industry participation.

The list of finalists was evaluated by event professionals who recently hosted or exhibited at events at facilities being nominated. Ultimately, the Anaheim Convention Center took home the top honor finishing ahead of Florida’s Orange County Convention Center and McCormick Place in Chicago.

“This honor reflects the experience of event professionals who have seen first-hand what the Anaheim Convention Center, and its staff, has to offer,” said Tom Morton, executive director of Convention, Sports and Entertainment for the city of Anaheim. “While we are closed now, doing our part to stop coronavirus, America’s best large convention center will be back as soon as possible to help people safely connect with customers, peers and attendees like only Anaheim can.”

EXHIBITOR Magazine’s annual awards serve as a resource for event planners, show organizers and exhibit managers on the best small, medium and large conventions centers in North America. The Anaheim Convention Center placed first in the large convention center category.

“The Anaheim Convention Center and staff continue to surpass expectations when it comes to customer experience and satisfaction by routinely providing event planners with a seamless experience,” said Jay Burress, president & CEO, Visit Anaheim. “The ACC always does its part to make trade shows and events as smooth, successful, and impactful as possible. When planners choose Anaheim, they are met with world-class facilities, a broad infrastructure for housing and transportation and year-round sunshine.”

The Anaheim Convention Center welcomes more than 1.1 million unique attendees to Anaheim and Orange County and is ready to safely resume doing so once California coronavirus guidelines allow.

Earlier this year, the Anaheim Convention Center became the first convention center on the West Coast to receive the Global Biorisk Advisory Council STAR accreditation, certifying the facility in outbreak and infectious diseases preparation and response.

Encompassing 1.8 million square feet of leasable space, with more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space, the Anaheim Convention Center completed its most recent expansion in 2017, adding 200,000 square feet of flexible space, allowing for a variety of event uses under one roof in one of the nation’s premier destinations.
