Just three years ahead of the Summer Games, Visit Anaheim reports a record-breaking 26.3 million visitors spent $6.6 billion last year, building toward 30 million visitors ahead of the Olympics.

Anaheim, CA (July 14, 2025) – Visit Anaheim, the official destination marketing organization for Anaheim, announced a tourism milestone as 26.3 million visitors traveled to the destination in 2024, with visitor spending rising 2.3% over the previous year, totaling $6.6 billion. The city anticipates visitor spending will reach $6.7 billion in 2025, reflecting year-over-year growth and strong momentum as Visit Anaheim works toward welcoming 30 million visitors ahead of the 2028 Olympics, now just three years away.

“With the Olympics only three years away, this announcement comes at a critical moment to showcase Anaheim’s growing momentum as we continue to move through the city’s Golden Decade,” said Mike Waterman, President & CEO, Visit Anaheim. “As the city prepares to host indoor volleyball at Honda Center in 2028, along with milestone developments like OCVIBE and the DisneylandForward expansion, Visit Anaheim is setting the stage to continue breaking visitation records in the coming years.”

Tourism-driven events like the 2028 Olympics are anticipated to bring extended growth to Anaheim, with early visitors attending potential test events, training camps, and previews. As the official home of USA Volleyball and with planned enhancements to Honda Center, Anaheim is equipped to benefit from increased tourism leading up to the Games.

Looking ahead, Anaheim is positioned for continued growth with the addition of five new hotels with nearly 1,000 additional guest rooms for visitors by 2030. The city will also see the return of major crowd-drawing conventions including BlizzCon 2026, the 50th anniversary of NAMM, D23, and U.S. Travel Association’s flagship tourism event, IPW, in 2030.

“The return of major conventions and growth in hotel development reflect the strength of Anaheim as the world’s ultimate playground and a premier destination,” said Waterman. “We’re well positioned to meet future demand and deliver exceptional experiences for both leisure and business travelers coming to Anaheim.”
