Anaheim, CA (May 31, 2024) – Visit Anaheim, the official destination marketing organization for Anaheim, announces a historic milestone in tourism with Anaheim attracting an unprecedented 25.8 million visitors in 2023, solidifying Anaheim's stature as a premier travel destination. On top of that, visitors spent $6.5 billion in 2023, representing a 7.5% increase compared to 2022. Visitor expenditures extended across a variety of sectors including lodging, entertainment, dining, and shopping.

 

Demand for Anaheim will only continue to grow with $10 billion in developments currently underway. Both DisneylandForward and OCVIBE will add even more hotel, entertainment, and dining options to Anaheim, paving the way for an incredibly bright future.

As the booking engine for the Anaheim Convention Center, Visit Anaheim’s 69 conventions in 2023 also played a pivotal role in this success. These events brought over 500,000 room nights to local hotels and represented $1.2 billion in economic impact, which touches several aspects of the industry including supporting over 65,000 tourism jobs across the convention center, theme parks, restaurants, shops, and hotels.
