26.5 Million Visitors Generated Nearly $9,000 in Annual Tax Relief for Anaheim Households

Anaheim, CA (June 4, 2026) — Visit Anaheim, the official destination marketing organization for Anaheim and Garden Grove, announced that Anaheim has reached another historic milestone in 2025, surpassing previous records in visitation, visitor spending, and economic impact, reinforcing the city’s emergence as one of the country’s most dynamic “always-on” destinations.

Anaheim’s visitor economy reached new heights in 2025, welcoming a record 26.5 million visitors who generated $6.8 billion in visitor spending and a total economic impact of $10.4 billion across the city. Tourism continued to play a critical role in Anaheim’s economy, supporting 67,817 jobs and generating $970 million in state and local taxes, the equivalent of $8,940 per household in tax relief for Anaheim residents.

Rather than being driven by a single attraction or season, Anaheim’s growth reflects a broader shift in how travelers are choosing destinations. Travelers are prioritizing places where there is a constant pipeline of experiences, events, and entertainment throughout the year.

“Anaheim has become a destination defined by year-round energy and a convergence of experiences,” said Mike Waterman, President & CEO, Visit Anaheim. “Travelers are increasingly seeking destinations where something is always happening. From sports and conventions to concerts, culinary experiences, and Disney, Anaheim delivers that blend every day of the year. Disneyland Resort alone welcomes attendance comparable to hosting a Super Bowl every single day, underscoring the scale and impact tourism has across our city.”

The milestone year was fueled by a steady calendar of major conventions such as NAMM, Natural Products Expo West, & VidCon, live entertainment, and destination experiences throughout 2025. Anaheim saw continued demand from meetings and events, new energy across the Downtown Disney District with several new restaurant openings, major concerts at Honda Center, and a strong start to the Anaheim Ducks season that helped build playoff energy across the city.

This sustained energy is a defining feature of Anaheim’s “Golden Decade,” as the destination continues to benefit from transformative projects and global visibility leading into major international events, including the 2028 Olympic Games. Investments such as OCVIBE, DisneylandForward, and the ongoing Honda Center transformation are further positioning Anaheim for sustained tourism growth in the years ahead.
