Anaheim Summer Night Series Under the Stars

Pearson Park Amphitheater continues its Summer Night Series every Thursday in August. Music kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and admission is completely free (though you should reserve tickets in advance to secure your entry). Each evening is set to bring a tribute band performance to Anaheim:

  • August 2 – Anything for Salinas (Selena tribute)
  • August 9 – Rock with You (Michael Jackson tribute)
  • August 16 – Britain’s Finest (British Invasion tribute)
  • August 23 – No Duh (No Doubt tribute)

Garden Amp, live outdoor music near Anaheim

Garden Amp Summer Concerts (Garden Grove)

Tucked inside Village Green Park, Garden AMP is Garden Grove’s premier outdoor music venue and a go-to destination for live music fans across Orange County. The open-air amphitheater hosts an eclectic mix of shows every weekend, with August 2025 bringing a stacked lineup of tribute festivals, punk icons, country acts, and Latin legends. 

Highlights include Too Short on August 2, the multi-band ROQ2K Summer Fest on August 3 (with tributes to Radiohead, Muse, Incubus, and Smashing Pumpkins), and Yippee Ki-Yay Country Fest on August 10, featuring a Chris Stapleton tribute and sets by The Doo Wah Riders and Dawson.

Free Summer Concerts and Live Events

OC Parks Summer Concert Series

On select Thursday evenings in August, you can also head down to Dana Point and enjoy two free outdoor concerts at Bluff Park in Salt Creek Beach

  • August 14 –  No Duh (No Doubt tribute)
  • August 21 – Boy Band Review (Playing hits from top boy bands from the 1990s and 2000s)

Shows begin at 5:00  p.m., with food trucks and a wine and beer garden available on-site. See full details here

 

 

OC Parks Sunset Cinema Film Series

Friday night movie screenings continue through August under the open sky at several Orange County Parks. The Sunset Cinema Film Series has free admission, and this month will feature the following screenings:

  • August 1 – Twisters at Laguna Niguel Regional Park
  • August 8 – The Greatest Showman at Laguna Niguel Regional Park
  • August 15 – Elemental at Irvine Regional Park
  • August 22 – Shrek at Irvine Regional Park
  • August 29 – Moana 2 at Bluff Park at Salt Creek Beach

OC Fair Live Music (Costa Mesa)

The OC Fair in Costa Mesa runs through August 17, with daily live performances to sweeten the deal. This month’s music lineup ranges from family-friendly acts to local talent and international performers. The fair’s calendar is jam packed across multiple stages. San Clemente Fiesta Music Festival

San Clemente Fiesta Music Festival 

Head to San Clemente on Sunday, August 10 for the return of the Fiesta Music Festival, a full-day street celebration filled with live music, food vendors, games, and family-friendly fun. The festival spans three stages along Avenida Del Mar and features performances by Tijuana Panthers, The Inciters, Red Devil Squadron, Miki Rae and the Hooligans, and over a dozen more acts throughout the day.

Beyond music, the event includes an arts and crafts market, kids’ zone, and plenty of beverage and food stands. And the best part? Admission is totally free! Getting there is easy thanks to complementary shuttles running from San Clemente High School and the Outlets at San Clemente.
