What’s New at Disneyland® Resort in 2026?

Several new rides and experiences are scheduled to debut in 2026. Here’s a quick roundup of what you can expect!
One of the biggest additions arrives on March 22, when Bluey’s Best Day Ever! opens at the Fantasyland Theatre. Designed as a family-focused, interactive experience, the show features themed play areas and daily performances inspired by the beloved cartoon series.
Star Wars fans will notice a significant change beginning May 22, when Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run launches a new mission starring the Mandalorian and Grogu. This marks the attraction’s first major story update since opening, and offers something new for repeat visitors to Galaxy’s Edge.
Later in the summer, Soarin’ Across America re-debuts on July 2 in honor of the country’s 250th anniversary. The updated experience features a coast-to-coast journey highlighting national landmarks and major cities!

The Final Stretch of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary celebration continues through August 9, 2026, bringing even more time to experience the magic of this milestone year. Throughout the first half of 2026, signature entertainment remains in rotation, including fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars and daytime celebrations. Guests can look forward to the dazzling return of Paint the Night, the heartfelt storytelling of Wondrous Journeys, the vibrant energy of World of Color Happiness!, and the joyful Celebrate Happy Cavalcade—each adding to the festive atmosphere across the resort.
Seasonal Events and After-Hours Offerings in 2026

Returning festivals and special events shape much of the 2026 calendar!
Lunar New Year celebrations take place at Disney California Adventure® Park from January 23 through February 22, followed by the Food & Wine Festival from March 6 through April 27.
Disneyland® Park After Dark events expand in 2026, including the debut of 70 Years of Favorites in March. Oogie Boogie Bash grows to a record 33 spooky nights (beginning August 18), making late summer and early fall a great time to visit.
Halloween Time officially begins August 21 and runs through October 31, followed by Plaza de la Familia, which celebrates Día de los Muertos themes through early November. To finish 2026, Disney’s famous Holiday Season returns November 18 with seasonal decor and plenty of wintertime cheer across both parks. It’s truly one of the most magical times to visit!
Downtown Disney® District
Downtown Disney® District continues to evolve as a lively, ticket-free destination for eating, shopping, and entertainment just steps from the Disneyland® Resort. You’ll find a mix of classic favorites and exciting new experiences, like elevated dining from acclaimed chefs at spots such as Din Tai Fung, Paseo, Céntrico, Tiendita and the Parkside Market food hall, plus stylish shopping, live music, and seasonal magic around every corner. Additional new restaurants and specialty shops are also on the way, promising even more reasons to explore and linger. New dining and retail locations scheduled to open throughout the year, but with all your classic favorites still slated to remain open.

Ticket Deals and Planning Tips
Several ticket offers may shape crowd patterns in 2026. California resident discounts are available early in the year, while the Kids Summer Ticket Offer runs from May 22 through September 7 for children ages 3-9. Anaheim hotel discounts during select periods may also make stays more appealing! Travelers looking for lighter crowds often find late April, early May, or early December to be comfortable options. Construction and Resort Changes to Expect
Preparations begin in 2026 for future additions tied to the DisneylandForward initiative, including experiences inspired by characters from Coco, Avatar, and continued expansion of the Marvel Avengers Campus. Most construction activity is expected to remain at the edges of guest areas, so you shouldn’t worry too much. However, visitors may notice temporary walls or adjusted walkways from time to time
