We’ve been chEARing ever since we heard the news! The Disneyland® Resort has expanded its Downtown Disney® District into the Disney California Adventure® theme park. That’s right! You can enjoy additional outdoor dining and retail experiences within the park gates, while the theme park remains closed. From soaking up the magic of the season to stocking up on treats at the candy shop, these are four things to do on Buena Vista Street.

Safety First

For the safety of guests and cast members, the Disneyland® Resort has implemented several new measures including:

  • Parking at the Simba Lot only and clearly defined entrances to the Downtown Disney® District
  • Temperature screenings prior to entry
  • Face coverings are required for visitors ages 2 and older
  • Physical distancing measures, including physically-distanced queues and seating, and physical barriers at select locations
  • Temporary operations modifications, including reduced hours at select locations and the suspension of entertainment offerings and high-touch interactive areas
  • An increased focus on cleaning and sanitation, including the addition of hand-washing stations and hand sanitizers in key areas

Soak Up Disney Magic

A treat for your senses, Buena Vista Street provides the sights, sounds and smells of the Disneyland® Resort parks. Stroll down the street among lanterns wrapped in garland. Catch the sweet smells from cotton candy kiosks as you gaze upon a recreation of the Hollywood Walt Disney experienced when he first arrived in California. 1920’s glitz and glamour meet the merriest season of them all on Buena Vista Street.

Dine Alfresco at Carthay Circle Lounge

Looking for an upscale meal with sprinkles of Disney flair? The expansion includes an alfresco experience at Carthay Circle Lounge now offering a seasonal menu, perfect for sharing. Get there early to secure a reservation & you’ll be notified via text message when it’s time to return. Pair your artisan cheese board with a handcrafted cocktail like the Carthy Old Fashioned. You can share small plates with lemon-crusted fish or soy-glazed salmon, but we won’t judge if you keep them all to yourself.

Shop for Holiday Gifts

The art-deco emporium, Elias & Co., was inspired by department stores of yesteryear. It’s the perfect place to get a magical gift for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Grab a vintage tee for your dad, a handbag for your mom, and the limited edition Make-A-Wish spirit jerseys for yourself. Looking for a way to commemorate your visit? Head to Julius Katz & Sons for themed collectibles like Disney pins.

Sweeten Your Visit at Trolly Treats

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, Trolly Treats is your stop! Drool over old-fashioned candies, handcrafted candy apples, and marshmallow pops. The Churro Toffee is legendary with a layer of toffee covered in cinnamon coated chocolate.
